Medallion Architecture Design

A medallion architecture is a data design pattern used to logically organize data in a lakehouse, with the goal of incrementally and progressively improving the structure and quality of data as it flows through each layer of the architecture (from Bronze ⇒ Silver ⇒ Gold layer tables).

At its core, AI systems learn and make decisions by analyzing vast amounts of data. These systems are designed to recognize patterns, extract insights, and generate predictions or recommendations based on the information they’ve been exposed to. Without data, AI would simply lack the foundation it needs to operate effectively.

Data quality is crucial in artificial intelligence because it directly impacts the performance, accuracy, and reliability of AI models. High-quality data enables models to make better predictions and produce more reliable outcomes, fostering trust and confidence among users.
